Finding the right motor for the Robusto was not easy. We wanted a system that feels powerful but never heavy on the pedals, a natural extension of your own effort. After testing many options, we found the perfect balance in a 40 Nm rear motor.
On paper, 40 Nm might not sound extreme compared to mid drive motors that claim nearly 100 Nm. But those numbers tell only part of the story. The difference lies in the type of drive system. A rear motor delivers its power directly and efficiently, meaning 40 to 50 Nm is already among the strongest setups in its class. For the Robusto, 40 Nm proved ideal, strong, smooth, and consistent even with a full load.
The Robusto’s road handling is exceptional thanks to its unique frame geometry and carefully balanced construction.
